Honest Pricing

Why we quote instead of listing prices

A safari from Diani isn't a fixed-shelf product. Four things move the price — knowing them means your quote is real, not bait:

Pricing basis

Per person on a shared departure, per vehicle on a private safari, or one private package price — each changes the maths.

Distance from Diani

Tsavo is a road trip; the Mara and Samburu are best reached by air. Transport is the biggest cost driver.

Accommodation level

Budget camp, mid-range lodge or luxury tented camp — the same park can differ by hundreds of dollars.

Season & group size

Migration season and lodge availability move prices, and larger groups share vehicle costs.

What a Quote Covers

Your quote includes, itemised

  • Safari vehicle and professional driver-guide
  • Park and reserve entry fees
  • Accommodation at your chosen level — budget camp to luxury lodge
  • Meals as specified in the itinerary
  • Transfers to and from your hotel, the SGR or the airstrip
  • Bottled water on game drives

Anything excluded is listed in the quote too — you approve the full picture before paying the 50% deposit.

  • Your dates or travel window
  • Group size and children's ages
  • Budget per person (rough is fine)
  • Accommodation level — budget, mid-range, lodge, luxury
  • Private or shared

Safari FAQ

Before you ask

Is a safari realistic from a beach holiday?
Yes — Shimba Hills is an hour away, and Tsavo is reachable by road in a day. For the Mara or Samburu we recommend flying; we arrange the flights and airstrip transfers.
When is the best time?
Wildlife viewing is good year-round. The Great Migration is usually in the Mara roughly July–October, and dry seasons make game easier to spot — tell us your dates and we'll advise honestly.
Are park fees included?
Where stated, yes — KWS fees are itemised in your quote so the price you approve is the price you pay.
Can children join a safari?
Families are welcome. Lodges and vehicle layout vary by age — tell us the children's ages and we recommend parks and lodges that suit them.
What should I pack?
Neutral clothing, a warm layer for early game drives, hat, sunscreen, camera and binoculars. A fuller list comes with your confirmed itinerary.
